7thGear, the motorcycle club for employees of the Lloyds Banking Group, is gearing up to celebrate Ride to Work Day 2012 as they know that riding a motorcycle or scooter to work is a fantastic alternative to using a car as it is quicker, cheaper, greener and of course a lot of fun!

Together with Black Horse insurance as part of their Travel Awareness Week, 7thGear will have stands at Lloyds Bankings Group offices across the country to promote the benefits of riding to work and encourage non-riders to ‘Get On’ and book a free ride on a motorcycle or scooter with www.geton.co.uk

IAM Around British Isles Bike Ride – starting on Ride to Work Day

1000 miles, 7 days, a world record attempt and a fantastic cause.

Starting on June 18th and taking a route that traverses the British Isles, IAM motorcyclists are looking to raise £10,000 for the Association of Air Ambulances while also spreading the word about the benefits of advanced riding skills.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved. The start coincides with Ride to Work Day and sees the IAM team head off from London. Over the course of seven days, they’ll ride a thousand miles with night stops at Christchurch, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Belfast and Shrewsbury. Belfast will see a world record attempt for the most makes and models of bikes in a parade at the Titanic Motorcycle Challenge.

The IAM team would love to see you along the way, but if you can’t make it, please help them to raise money for the Air Ambulance services throughout the UK. Their hard work and dedication save countless lives and they urgently need support to ensure they continue to make a difference.

After work: Ride Out through Lincs & Cambs countryside to Whistle Stop Pub in Tallington
